Soul Drive (ソウルドライブ Sōru Doraibu) is a fan-made mechanic in mrd256's Cardfight!! Vanguard X fanfiction.

How it works

Soul Drive is an ACT skill that is usable on the Vanguard circle and sometimes on the Rear-Guard circle. The abilities cannot be used during the turn the unit is placed, but by paying the listed cost of the Skill, the unit with the ability gains the following traits.

• +X000 Power (where X is a consistent number)
• +1 Grade
• +1 Drive
• Becoming Driven.

While in the Driven state, the unit, as well as other units, can unlock additional skills to use.

Effect Use in Timing

• "When this unit becomes Driven..." or "When your Vanguard or rear-guard becomes Driven.." refers to when the specified unit activates Soul Drive and becomes Driven.

• "If this unit is Driven..." or "If your Vanguard or rear-guard is Driven..." refers to whether if the specified unit is Driven at that moment after being activated.

Additional Ruling

The power is considered base power, so it can transfer over when Striding.
